Bride Guide: How To Have The Perfect Morning On Your Wedding Day

July 21, 2022

The morning of your wedding can be such an exciting yet overwhelming time. You’re sure to be anxious for your special day to get underway. With so much to get done and people coming and going, here is a guide to the perfect morning to help you feel as present and calm as possible.

Have An Early Night

Having an early night before your wedding day can certainly be a challenge. With so much excitement and nerves, it’s sure to take you a little longer to drift off to sleep, so head to bed early. Try to utilize any relaxing habits that will help you drift off quicker. Consider having a relaxing bath before bed, applying some essential oils to your pillow, and listening to a sleep meditation.

Have A Healthy Breakfast With Your Bridesmaids

Remember you are in charge of your day. So although you may feel like you are expected to jump out of bed and straight into the action, this is your day. Schedule some time in the morning to just chill and enjoy a healthy breakfast with your bridesmaids. If you’re staying at a hotel, consider ordering room service the night before. Opt for something fresh like fruit with granola.

Practice Mindfulness

Set yourself up for a great day by practicing mindfulness in the morning, especially if you are prone to anxious feelings. You can set aside as little as 10-15 minutes to do a quick yoga, meditation, or journal entry. Whatever it is that will help you feel grounded and able to be more present for your special day.

Delegate!

Your bridal party is there for you! So delegate as much as you can and let them help you. If you have people and things arriving the morning of your wedding, politely ask a few of your bridesmaids to be on door duty. Ask others to lay out your dress and accessories ready for you to put on.

Leave Ample Time For Hair & Makeup

Once it’s time to get ready, you’ll want to ensure you’re not rushed and have left ample time for your hair and makeup. Consider wedding day makeup tips that will help you look your best and photograph flawlessly. Many brides opt for makeup and hair consultations a few weeks before the big day, so you’ll know what to expect from your hair and makeup artists. While getting your hair and makeup done, it is a good idea to take off your socks, bra, and any hair bobbles on your wrists. All these items leave indents and will show in your pictures, so while you’re getting your makeup done, do a quick scan for any indenting items.

Get The Party Started!

Now, all that’s left is to get the party started! Before leaving, enjoy a glass of champagne with your bridal party. This day is all about you, and after a calm and focused morning, you’re hopefully feeling your best and ready to get married!
